CITING USE of UKIDSS AND OTHER WFCAM DATA in SCIENTIFIC PAPERS
Please note that the teams which built WFCAM, processed the data, and implemented the UKIDSS surveys have no proprietary time. When you use UKIDSS data, please credit their efforts with something similar to the following wording :

" The UKIDSS project is defined in Lawrence et al 2007. UKIDSS uses the UKIRT Wide Field Camera (WFCAM; Casali et al 2007) and a photometric system described in Hewett et al 2006. The pipeline processing and science archive are described in Irwin et al (2008) and Hambly et al (2008). We have used data from the Xnd data release, which is described in detail in XX et al (200X)."

In any publication using UHS data, please cite Dye et al., 2017, MNRAS, submitted, (arXiv:1707.09975) and include the following statement in the acknowledgements; "The UHS is a partnership between the UK STFC, The University of Hawaii, The University of Arizona, Lockheed Martin and NASA."

When you use WFCAM data which is not part of UKIDSS or UHS, we recommend similar wording, but without the reference to Lawrence et al, Dye at al, or the specific data release paper.
